Upcoming Movie Releases — Week of July 20, 2026
It's a quieter week for theatrical releases, which gives us a little room to breathe between The Odyssey and Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Detroit City would be my pick this week, but sadly neither local theater is running it. I'll likely go see Hadestown instead and give that a shot. Falling Down and Pleasantville were both day-one pre-orders for me the second they were announced — both favorites, so an easy call. Not much else jumping out this week, though I may circle back for Unlawful Entry when I catch it on sale. I saw that one in theaters and had a fun enough time with it back then.

A near-dialogue-free revenge thriller that premiered at Venice.
